Snippets of Zafeer as a Std 1 Kid - Part I

Nobody’s Home

Yesterday i was about 10 minutes late and Zafeer reached home first. Benda yang paling nak avoid, dia buzz the bell and nobody’s at home 🥹 I drive sehabes laju but jam nak laju cemana…almost sampai on time (at least before him) but stucked in the traffic kat roundabout pulak! 

Saw him tengah pusing2 depan lift unsure where to go. When he saw my car masuk parking, he ran over to cerita dia dah naik atas, picit loceng sekali, turun balik and waited at the lobby. Sempat selit disclaimer yang dia cool je (katanya). His expression was otherwise pucat, panic and worried. Kesiannnn sangat! 

In spite of that, he was definitely brave and calm in that situation. He did what we discussed in the event jadik camnie, about safety and all. 

Playdate

Zafeer arranged a playdate with his classmate. He said we’ll go to H***n’s house at U12. Now pukul 11 kan, we go at 8 ok.

Quite difficult to explain that we can’t simply knock on his friend’s house when the mom didn’t invite us over. Not too mention the timing too, i’m confused!

Zafeer is Toothless

He lost his front tooth few weeks before school opens! He was really brave though to cabut sendiri, tiap2 hari goyangkan the loose tooth. Skali tuh tercabut time tengah makan. Nasib tak tertelan skali haha. Few days later another front tooth tercabut. OMG, first question that popped out was cemana nak makan? of course like any other kids yang takde gigi, he manages it.

 

He was a bit conscious when i said nak amik gambar. But trus ok when i said i wanted to show papa. Today he looks like cute gramp takde front teeth. Rasa cam nak picit2 jer dia!

Zafeer and Nap

 Zafeer loves to nap. Sometimes dah lewat petang baru rasa mengantok tak boleh bincang and he knows that i won't allow him to sleep sebab nanti malam susah tido. But dia still cuba nasib jugak. If i have an on-going meeting he will masuk senyap2 and tarik slimut tido dengan aman because i won't perasan and nak terus sound pon tak boleh. The other tactic was he will play around inside the room, and i'm so kusyuk laidat buat kejer know2 jer bilik dah senyap and pusing jer tengok dia dah berbungkus cam taco bell.  

   

Borak with Zafeer - Why all Tyres are Black?

Today Zafeer asked me a question that i sendiri pernah wondered why tyres are always black? Why are there no colored tyres? But malas search time tuh. So here's the actual fact:

A tyre is not born black because when it was invented in 1895, it used to comes in white colour. The prime reason behind keeping the tyre black is to improve the durability and robustness of the tyres, as the compound used while adding carbon black to tyres works as a stabilizing compound

Any color other than black cost more and don't last as long. Plus they'll get dirty quickly on daily drive.

Borak with Zafeer - Can Snake Sakit Tekak?

Can snake sakit tekak? Do you know the answer? Logically yes lah kan because dia swallow macam2 food yang large size. Haaa Jeeb dah tolong googled kan

Do snakes get sore throats?

"Throat infections in snakes are very common, just like with humans. They can be caused by bacteria which is in their enclosures" 

Borak with Zafeer - Vampire

Conversation about his random thoughts of becoming something awesome....

Zafeer: Zafeer nak jadi vampire lah sbb ada gigi tajam 

Me: Aper yang best vampire?

Zafeer: Boleh turn into a bat

Me: Tak best lah jadik vampire, dia takut sun and cannot kluar siang main bola. Kene sun dia mati

Zafeer: Takleh respawn ke?

Me: Nope. Sun is a deadly laser

Zafeer: Whatt, tak cool lah vampire

Beetle that Stings

Over dinner we were talking about WASP and BEES.

Later, Zafeer casually asked why VOLKSWAGEN sting orang? It took me few seconds to realise he was talking about the WASP. 

Lol!

He was embarrassed because all of us tergelak. But we quickly said the name WASP-WAGON is too cute! It is sort of beetle gak hahaha!

Zafeer @ Avisena & School

Zafeer suddenly having fever. On the first day i just monitor with paracetamol every 4 hours. Kejap cam ok, but towards end of 4 hours temperature naik balik. Ubat demam pulak dah nak abes so we brought him to Avisena for further checkup on Xmas public holiday. Jeeb drove us there but he waited in the car. In case takleh ramai2 pon masuk cam biasa. 

The place was empty and ada one patient before us. After check up, doc mentioned his throat ada merah2 so suspect the virus started from there. But to be on the safe side doc advised to do blood test to rule out dengue.

How Zafeer took the news bila found out dia kene cucuk, he bombarded me with questions on the level of pain being poked with needle start from doc's room to the blood lab. Lagik panick lagik kuat suara dia tanya soklan. 

"Saket cemana? Saket banyak mana? Saket sikit cemana? Sikit macam nie? Macam semut? Takpe je? Takde apa? Sakit sikit je?"

Time waiting for billing and ubat, Zafeer asked for crispy churros as a treat dia kene buat blood test. Why not, i could use a cup of coffee myself. Alhamdulillah Zafeer recovered from demam on that day itself, so we just continue with antibiotics. 

Earlier that week before demam2, we went to Zafeer's school to drop off some pastries and Oreo. He was so excited that he got to follow me to see his teacher. Before that, i guided him to wrote a thank you note, glad there was no typo at all haha! Kalo dak nanti dia sendiri upset writing dah tak cantik. 

  

Dah sampai school, kemain PR pandai. "Hi Teacher Yana, lama tak jumpa!" So hopefully the teacher enjoyed the pastries since they were having a training on that day. 

Zafeer and His Crying Haircut Days

Zafeer at 5yo in a geli phase whenever potong rambut. Lepas tuh teriak biler kene shave. 

Dolu Naqeeb was also like this. Lagik sensitif because dia tak suker biler rambut tuh jatuh kene tangan. Every time nak gi potong rambut tuh nak kene well prepared cam pegi perang jer. Make sure pakai long sleeve, ada video to distract him, gentle barber.

Mini Vader

There was this one time Zafeer was so into Vader's mask. Fight and talk like Vader summore. Siap soh record every time he was in action 😂

  

Zafeer's Qdees Concert @ Auditorium Angkasa, KJ

It was the morning of Zafeer's concert in Auditorium Angkasa. Dah siap2 pakai baju concert from home and dropped him off at the waiting area with all his schoolmates and teachers. Lama jugak lah kene tunggu because we were there slightly earlier to book spots. I even managed to order Grab Food and deliver it to the main entrance sebab lapar. Hahaha jangan kecam sis, that's how easy peasy it was😆

Paid and collected Zafeer's studio photos. It's quite expensive so bought 2 pieces only jelah simpan for kenangan.

Zafeer and his classmates performed Dikir Puteri dance. Most of the steps were hand movements jer ala2 dikir barat. Tak banyak gerak sangat but still cute though.

Good job Zafeer, you did very well. I'm so proud to see that you are confident to perform on the stage and be independent. Looking forward for more!

Merdeka Celebration at Zafeer's School

It was Malaysia 62 Years of Independence! Zafeer's school gave out notice quite early that they will be having a Merdeka celebration where the kids were encouraged to wear patriotic/ national costumes to show their love and appreciation towards the country. So sempat lah mama nie scroll online shop to buy something. Instead of beli the whole set, i just bought tengkolok...jimat sket. Baju melayu Naqeeb punyer dolu time 6yo, so it was a bit too big for Zafeer. Yang penting recycle 😂

Kekami shared a picture of Zafeer came home with a pressie. Yeay! Suka lah dia dapat something from school. Now he wants to sharpen his pencil with that sharpener ONLY.

Zafeer Cough and Fever

For the past 2 months, Zafeer had phlegmy cough, flu and fever. Susah tido, slalu muntah and we had to take frequent neb sebab sometimes nampak dia cakap mengah.

  

  

We continued treatment at new building specifically for women and kids because they have opened up to public.  Sib the location still dekat and convenient for us.

  

  

Nebulizer bay ada 2 screen to distract the kids. Ok nih citer off topic sket because hari tuh ada this one family yang hogged both seats and layan macam cinema, siap pakai hosp blanket sebab sejuk. Zafeer cakap kuat gak that he wants to sit at that place but sumer pon wat derk. If dorang mmg tgh pakai neb dua2 station sis tak kesah tapik mohon lah alert sket facilities tuh untuk orang yang sepatutnyer.

  

Few times Zafeer kene amik ubat bontot because of high fever. I hate bagi banyak ubat so dah tried diffuse EO, lumur EO, tepuk percussion to loosen up phlegm. But bila dah reda jer...kene balik few days after that. We tried to change his susu as well but still muntah. Ada jugak time, me and Jeeb kinda lost tatau nak buat aper even though banyak suggestion from family + friends. Fatigue and lack of sleep also affects our decision making. So we just juggle and go with the flow jer with whatever on our plate at that time.

  

  

I've lost tracked dah how many times we went to the hospital, repeat neb 4 hourly in a day. Even odd hours pon kitowang redah jugak. Dengan ada time tuh lift still rosak so berdukung laaa turun naik bawak si Zafeer sbb tanak dia semput (wpon papa dia yang semput and lenguh tangan). On first day raya dia demam. Second day raya we repeat again pegi hospital back and forth sebab nak travel to PD tanak demam/ batuk dia melarat.

  

  

Anyways, klinik or hospital actually sama jer sebab kitowang pegi for neb only. Bila sebut hospital cam serious sangat bunyik nyer kan. Since we pakai GL, so it valid for 24 hours. Nak buat 4 hourly neb kat klinik after 10.00pm dah tutup pulak. Besides dolu Zafeer demam panas pernah kene fit, so we were being extra kan cheong kengkadang tuh. Allah cuma bagi ujian sikit jer kat kami supaya lebih bersabar dan sentiasa berdoa untuk kesihatan yang baik. Insya Allah semoga kita semua sihat walafiat and dapat menjalani rutin harian smoothly.
