Qeeb Berkhatan 2020

We did the procedure at Klinik Ajwa, Seksyen 7. There are 2 units, so kene pegi yang kat Klinik Ibu dan Anak. The place looks new and clean. We booked online appointment, somehow cam takde in their record jer. But they accepted anyway. Time tuh ada 6 kids already in queue plus 4 more kids yang registered same time with us. Amik weight and makan ubat demam siap2. Dah boleh change to kain pelikat time nie but we decided to wait first because looks like cam lama jer kene tunggu. We went to KK Mart, 7 eleven, stationery shop, even kedai specs yang ada jual Hot Wheels. Just to kill the time.

It took about 3 hours plus until Qeeb's turn. Tepu tunggu! Qeeb was super cuak but one thing about him is that dia slalu control macho depan orang, depan mama jer slalu berjujuran air mata. So i can't even tell him whether dia really cuak freak out punyer type or cuak chill. Dia observed gak other kids yang kluar masuk the surgery room. Biler dengar ada yang jerit kuat, he told me he won't scream kuat camtuh. Insya Allah, you have the courage to endure!

    

Qeeb chose Jeeb to accompany him into the room. He walked in and out like a champ. Jeeb cakap heart beat Qeeb laju gila and mengigil tahan sakit. Kesian sangat2 but i'm so proud of him.

  

  

Dalam keta Qeeb dah start rasa saket and nanges2. Ahhh sudah bius dah abes...nak bagi paracetamol another round pon serba salah because belom cukup 4-6 hours. Awal sangat nurse bagi ubat demam. All i can do is mintak dia calm down jelah. Balik rumah just nice 4 hours so quickly bagi ubat and few minutes later baru ubat kick in. Baru lah muka ada sikit senyum. He said he's comfortable with the box because rasa cam confined.

On the first day itself, dia shishi ok tak saket wpon lama giler nak tunggu sebab dia takut sangat rasa sakit. Dia prefer pakai shell underwear yang beli for sunat sebab tak suke rasa ngilu2, jalan pon kengkang2. So it took him 1 more week to get used to the new norm.

I wish i don't have to go through this, but time Zafeer nanti one more round. I cannot lahh time nak letak ubat/ cuci2 tuh. But takut infection punya pasal buat jugak lah. Glad that we are working at home during those 2 weeks (post MCO) so senang lah nak monitor and Qeeb pon tak perlu banyak gerak nak commute to rumah tok mama. Alhamdulillah semua urusan dipermudahkan.

Zafeer & Qeeb Admitted to Sunway Med

On Tuesday we went to Klinik Mediviron because Qeeb still demam even though the day before dah skipped school to rest at home. Zafeer pon jumpe doctor jugak because of coughing. Qeeb got 2 days mc and we went home with bottles of medicines. Malam tuh Zafeer punyer cough makin teruk. On Wednesday night after balik kejer, Jeeb said Zafeer looked tired and dah start demam. So we went straight to Klinik Mediviron again to check his lung and possibly a neb so he can sleep well. We were the last patient and syukur the nurses allowed us to masuk walaupon dah closed for registration. The doc said his lung ada bunyik wheezing and yeap he needed the neb.

  

Around 12 midnight, dah crossed over to Thursday, Zafeer susah tido and start batuk teruk balik. Looks like the neb didn't help much. Risau if dia makin semput so we went to Avisena. Mintak kak sue tgk kan Qeeb yang still demam kat rumah because dia dah tido. Zafeer seen here waiting for his turn to see the doctor with runny nose. He kept rubbing his nose with hanky/ tissue sampai luka. 

 

The doc bagi 3x neb but still x banyak improvement. The lung airway sempit sampai napas guna muscle perot so she advised us to be warded. But unfortunately it was full house (cam sama jer everytime) so the doc wrote a referral letter. Jeeb called around SMC and Ara also full house and finally Sunway Medical said they have a room. Time kitowang balik tuh Qeeb dah gi tido bilik kak sue, he must've woke up and carik everyone. Since 3 of us nak kene kluar balik, we left him in the other room jer. The neb helped a bit, no wheezing sound. Zafeer was sleepy, both of us also were very sleepy and tired so we took a nap. Because if proceed trus pegi SunMed kang takot penat sangat tumbang cemana nak jaga budak saket. Bangun tuh baru pack some stuff.

Around 6-ish pepagi gelap2, kitowang balik hangkut Zafeer yang half mamai to SunMed E&R. Soo sampai sana, dorang trus timbang berat sumer, check2 pasang drip and warded. Cepat lah jugak the process maybe because tak ramai during odd hours. But standard single room takde, we had bilik premium. Price was rm300+ instead of rm200+. Dapat laa clear view of Sunway Lagoon.

 

  

Petang tuh baru dapat tukar single room biasa. Zafeer always struggled with the oxygen tube, the nebulizer mask, the drip and stick kat tangan dia. Alhamdulillah makan berselera wpon makan chicken meat jer. Oxygen level (sp02) dia still tak consistent and drop below 95, normal should be 100. He said saket perot, so the doc gave him ubat colic, apparently one of the side effect of taking oxygen.

  

On Friday, doc said can stop the drip since he has appetite. But lepas cabut sampai  ke sudah he refused to eat pulak. Minom pon tanak, susu pon tak abes. Asik complained saket perot and rasa nausea. So petang tuh dia cam dah start lapar, and makan pudding caramel sket. Tapik start muntah Then he had milk sket, muntah, he drank plain water muntah jugak. Sampai abes stock baju so kene lah pinjam baju hospital. Malam pon muntah lagik after susu 2oz, doc cakap nak bagi ubat muntah takde pon just start the drip again.

  

  

Meanwhile, on Friday itself Qeeb started demam panas balik so that morning Jeeb bawak dia gi SunMed gak to buat blood test. Positive with Influenza B maka dia pon kene admitted. Unfortunately both abang and adik cannot be in the same room because influenza B senang jangkit and kene isolated. Blank lah jugak cemana nak jaga dorang dua nie. So had to mintak tolong Abg kamal send over kak sue to look after Qeeb kejap so that jeeb can go home and pack more stuff. Kesian dia drive around in a rush dahler dia pon tak sehat. Huuu dugaaan.

Lama gak dorang dua kene tunggu kat E&R sebab bilik tak ready. Dah petang baru dapat masuk bilik double bed. Bilik Qeeb ada lagik sorang 6yo kene influenza B jugak. Ada lah jugak hikmahnyer ada orang kat sblah so that Jeeb leh kluar jap lari gi beli food. Nak tinggalkan Zafeer mmg impossible lah kan. Time management cemnie i mmg respect betoi single parent out there yang handle anak2 sendiri.

  

Qeeb of course tak brapa keen kene tinggal sorang2. But dia redha jelah dengan berbekalkan tepon on his side. So while Jeeb went out kejap, i called him to teman him virtually even though his room is few doors away. We even made conference call so he won't feel lonely hehe. Alhamdulillah for the technology.

  

Finally hari yang ditunggu2 untuk direlease keluar were on Sunday. Paed bagi clearance, pharmacist sent ubat, cabut drip and all. All four of us walked out from the ward happily hand in hand. They supplied us with this too other than the medicines.

The following week, we went for a post check up with paed. Ramai betol orang kat clinic. Big waiting area and kerusi semua almost penuh and spacious playing area. 

Zafeer said he was hungry. So we went to Madeleine cafe right in front of paed's clinic. But lepas bayar baru jer nak ngap Jeeb said it was our turn. Mengamok laaa si dobod nih tak dapat makan. Lol!  Stress hoccay nak drag him back to the clinic with my hot coffee summore. Macam2 hal. 

  

Doc pon check dia gituh2 because he was screaming non-stop. Then back to Madeleine cafe to finish our food and drink. Haih laaa anak. Semoga kita semua sentiasa dilindungi Allah, diberi kesihatan yang baik dan dijauhi benda2 yang merbahaya.

  

[Info] Baby Week 23

To help build baby's leg and torso strength, gently pull him up from a sitting position and hold him while he stands for a few seconds. 

Baby's starting to understand cause and effect,which means he loves grabbing, tasting, banging, shaking, and throwing. This makes it especially important to keep sharp objects, breakables, drinks, and your hair out of baby's reach. He's also learning to differentiate pastel colors. Keep exposing him to books and toys with wide ranges of hues to further expand his awareness of color.

Being on his own helps him get comfortable with independence. Lay a blanket and some toys on the floor, and let baby play by himself while you keep an eye on him. Watch for fussiness, and pick him up if he seems like he's going to cry -- remember, tears are still his only way to say "I'm bored." 

When Qeeb Arrives at School

Every morning when we send Qeeb to school, i will got off the car and walked him to the stairs. Salam and gave him a big bear hug. I can see his eyes wandering around to see if there are any of his friends watching him getting squezed by me. #toobadidontcare and i'll continue to hug him until he finds it too embarrassing!

Most of the time I'll wait for him to climb up the stairs until he reaches the main gate. Sampai jer atas tuh i'll say out loud...bye bye Qeeb! But ya know Qeeb and his 'too cool for that' attitude....all i get is krik krik krik. He didn't even turn around!

Awal tahun hari tuh time baru start school ada laa jugak dia turned around and waved at me. If he smiles considered as a bonus! But for the past few weeks he didnt even bother to turn around any more. I even reminded him to wave back at me when he reaches the gate. Ghhrrrr!

So last night when we settled down to sleep, i casually asked him why.

Qeeb: sebabbb...ada guard
Me: okayyyy....
Qeeb: (suddenly tukar whisper mode) guard tuh garrang!

Adoiii nak tergelak besar. But terus mak2 mode on!

Me: Guard tuh nak tgk Qeeb babai mama or not. If Qeeb wave at mama, sure dia cakap dalam hati 'baeknyerrr budak nie sayang mama dia'. Takkan laa dia nak marah any kids yang say babai kat their parents.

And this morning, when he reached the last stairs he turned around. Smiling. And waved his hands. *cairrrrr*

Note: I want to remember how that slight turn and wave with a smiling face can make me sooo happy when i walked back to the car

Nursing mom be like...

Nursing mom are on call 24/7. Depending on the appetite of your baby, you might be nursing every 2 hours, which doesn’t sound so bad except that it takes 30mins or more to complete a feeding. By the time you finish, you are down to an hour before you need to start the whole process over again.

Within 1 hour, you have to wash the pump stuff, eat, shishi etc. If the baby poop, minus few mins. If the baby spit up terkene baju, gotta change the clothes so minus few more mins. Before you know it, the baby is hungry again and repeat the same cycle. Time are soooo precious. Even nak take shower pon rushing....sometimes the shampoo tak sempat nk kluar buih baby dah nanges. Hahahaha! 

I'm gonna miss the moments even though i can be so stressed out (when it happened). So tulis sini in case terlupa. Having a newborn kene go through all this occay! Because now baby Zafeer is already on formula milk #jangankecamsaya time malam jer i nurse him pueh2 :)

Mom Super Power Be Like

I'm like milk dispenser especially wee hours till morning. I love my job eventhough this superhero looks like a panda. I don't even need an eye mask. 

Weekend in Smart Tunnel

Dolu time kejer kat Jln Tun Razak, KL this is a common view. Everyday without fail traffic jam even inside Smart Tunnel itself. But now, weekend pon jam jugak?! Aiyooo stress makcik! Wpon dah bayar RM2 just to save few minutes but sangkut jugak.

Muka toya ngadap jam. Luckily Qeeb is the type who stay seated in his car seat. Or else i will be kalut dah if he starts to get bored and trying to unbuckle himself from the car seat.

And lagik lega biler dia tidoq. I can focus on my driving, he gets a nap and tak cranky biler jenjalan.
