New Media Explored

Me and D were walking to Rasa Foodcourt in KLCC when we noticed this big poster. I was like 'laaa kat sini ke Galeri Petr*nas". Heard about this galeri before but tak penah tau kat blah mana. When we saw free admission, dengan semangatnyer we planned to singgah after makan.

This Nova exhibition was held in conjunction with the KL Design Week Festival 2010. When we first entered, dah nampak sign takleh amik gambar =( but degey nak jugak amik sket because ada artworks yang sangat cool! Pix below is digital artworks created by Malaysia's emerging graphic designers.

Cubaan tok amik gambar in low light. Tak berjaya -.- Fortunately aifon takde built in flash so i can snap gambar cepat2 without worrying the settings to avoid flash kuar mengejut. Kang aku yang terkejut kene sergah ngan pak guard.

Next was Haroshi's artwork of an eight three-dimensional art pieces sculpted from used skateboards that are cut out into mosaics, dots and pixels. Biler tgk dekat2 the L-O-V-E, you can see the cut out layer details yang colorful pastuh susun banyak2 jadik camnie. Wish i can take a macro pix. But no camera allowed kan hurmph.

Next was Devilrobot toys. Kiutttt sangat. Banyak pakai character square tofu. Tingat plak tofu coin bank yang qutestuff penah jual hehe.

There's one more artwork Windcatcher. But tempat tuh gelap sangat langsung takleh amik gambar. Concept dia, biler blow into 'benda' yang dorang pasang...the screen will display an interactive image. The last one, we watched short video yang dipasang at this small corner. Bebudak yang duduk kat couch depan skali tuh lepak cam tgk tv kat umah. Comfortable abes!

Then right before we exit, we checked out the guestbook. Ramai betoi yang sempat meng-doodles! This is one of em.

Ada jugak yang promote diri sendiri and not too mention yang cakap merapu2. Macam2 pe'el!
