Company Trip to Langkawi - Day 1
First day of company trip was on Friday. So all of us datang kejer as usual, masing2 bawak luggage. Around 12.30pm we gathered at the lobby, 2 buses already waiting and the Committee members made sure our bags pakai ribbon they provided and ran through our names time naik bus.
Our Batch 1 bus reached LCCT first while the second bus which mainly male muslim staff yang naik stopped by at the nearest mosque for Friday's prayer because they'll catch a later flight. After we checked in, we managed to grab a quick bite at Marry Brown. Wpon makan kelam kabut, perot dah lapar sangat kene lah isik dolu. Rupanya kat dalam terminal pon ada gak heavy food at this Malaysian Recipe cafe. But limited table kot because i saw my colleagues ada yang kene makan berdiri.
Dah collect all the bags we proceed to the bus yang dah tunggu. Thumbs up all the arrangement ikot time. We went straight to Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort at Pantai Cenang. When we reached the lobby entrance, we were greeted with company's banner :)
Received a welcome drinks, cold refreshing towel, collect our keys and we had to find our own room. Fuhh time nih mmg lost giler. I don't understand the hotel layout, the place was huge and I don't know how to read the room numbers yet. My roommate plak in 3rd batch so i had to find it alone T___T After dah tarik luggage sana sini and asked few staff there, they said my room is quite far away. Aiyooo so i gave up, walked back to the lobby and waited for buggy service.
The standard room ada queen bed but each room akan ada 3 org that's why ada one extra single bed. Since one of my roommate Aini did not make it, so just me and k.Rina conquer the room! I had a quick shower before rushing to the lobby since everyone is supposed to gather there. I had to call for buggy service again since i lost my bearings. I don't want to walk around like a headless chicken.
And i was late alright. The event mgmt company which i just shall call MSR dah started with ice-breaking activities. The thing is, we just got there and excited to see the beach, and wanna catch the sunset and all but we had to buat group activities. No 100% commitment lah of course, because ada yang nak main volley ball, nak take some pictures etc. Around the same time, batch 2 just arrived. So mmg dah bersepah2 dah time nie. Yang committed buat group logo tarik muncung jadiknyer.
The view are so nice I don't want to miss it which i'm so glad that i took a time to enjoyed it because we didn't have time pon the next day to lepak at the beach.
Time nie dah started to gelap. My group managed to gather kejap to siapkan our group flag. Tapik masalah nak siapkan cepat because MSR only gave us a glue to stick 'nature' stuff like grass, sands etc. Gunting sumer takde nak potong and ikat2 pon takleh. Arrrghh blasah jelah sbb tak sabar nak gi makan.
Around 7.30pm we proceed to have dinner. Food range dia huarghhh best and sedappps! I cannot control myself anymore!
That night we gathered again at one of the hall. MSR gave some briefings on itineraries and activities. All group batches have arrived at that time. Then me, juju and qila went out to the Cenang street for a while, cuci2 mata and bought a sunhat for tomorrow's island hopping. Ada group yang kluar minom so we joined them jalan kaki balik ramai2. I tried the bathtub that night...aahhh totally a physical & emotional stress relief. Tido nyenyak trus lepas tuh.
