Zafeer 4D3N at DEMC
Last month our family members were in and out of DEMC like it was our second home. First FIL got admitted because of pneumonia. Then Zafeer admitted because of fever fits, followed by MIL suspected viral fever and hepatitis. After that Irina plak warded because of ear infection. Alhamdulillah, now sumer dah ok sehat walafiat.
On the day Zafeer kene fits, i was in the office talking too Qeeb on the phone yang nak siap pegi school. Tetiba dengar bibik jerit2 panic in the background. Qeeb said Zafeer pengsan. Trus pegang handbag, kluar office and called Jeeb. Luckily abg Kamal sent Zafeer immediately to emergency.
28 Apr, Friday. Doc came in to check and said to continue monitoring 48 hours to ensure no more fits. Plus Zafeer still having fever and dah 2x masukkan ubat montot. Oh, zafeer loves his paed, Dr. Koshy! Tergelak2 biler kene tickled and he even high-5 the doctor. I didn't know he can do that! After he had his breakfast, i dragged him to GJC to get my coffee. One of the things i'm thankful about was Zafeer can move around instead of pinned down to bed.
He was bored and cranky. So layan jelah mana dia nak jalan but sometimes he refused to walk. And myself lak tak larat nak dukung lama2. Dah abes explored own room, dia pi ukur the entire floor plak. Hari tuh jugak pesan kat Jeeb to bring stroller when he came over.
29 Apr, Saturday. Waiting for doc to come and check. Unfortunately still cannot discharge that day. Repeated blood test to make sure everything ok. After his breakfast, i dragged him to teman me carik makan plak. When Jeeb came, i rushed balik rumah and mandi. Balik hospital, grabbed some lunch and sambung duty.
We had a lovely dinner at the hospital! Syukur and appreciate that moment. Qeeb was being extra nice to his little brother, tgk video sesama, the cafe was empty but we were accompanied by birds, the food were nice, it was breezy too.
We had dessert right after that. At first I told Jeeb that i wanted cheese cake. But Jeeb surprised me with ice cream instead. Awwww lagik suwit! Plus the ice cream sandwich came with funny cartoons.
Malam tuh tok wan, tok mama, uncle daddy came to visit. Right after that, mira, kusa and hamzah came.
30 Apr, Saturday. Dr. Koshy came and said we can go home! Yeayyyy! Alhamdulillah blood test result sumer ok takde unsur2 bacteria whatsoever. His fever pon dah kebah.
I was so happy that i gave myself a treat. A slice of cheese cake and coffee fix. Zafeer didn't look that happy because he can only have milk #nothingnew. The next day was labour day, so dapat lah rest sket at the comfort of my own bed.

Day 1
27 Apr, Thursday. By the time i reached DEMC, lega nyer ya Allah tgk Zafeer. Cut the story short doc said it was febrile seizure. The way bibik described what happened was his eyes rolled up and jerking, it is something i don't want to experience at all seeing him like that. Doc suggested to monitor his condition but unfortunately the hospital takde available bed. So we balik rumah first to pack stuff while looking for other hospital. Tetiba dapat call from the hospital saying that ada tempat kosong so we can come over if we want. Of course we took it. Dah siap pasang iv line kat emergency ward, baru lah kitowang masuk bilik.
Day 2
Malam tuh he was very cranky. His temperature pon turun naik wpon dah masuk ubat montot. His body was shivering and i suspected because of the aircond. I kept sponging but takde effect sangat. Zafeer finally able to fell asleep around 4am. But around 6am zafeer he started to shivering again wpon takde aircond. Risauuu betol.
