Ekiden Run 2009 - The Story

On the 4th October, i was at Putrajaya as early as 6.00am. Sampai2 Azwan and wifey dah tunggu kat sana and register for the team members. Pehh gelapnyer lagik time nie. Jarang2 betoi berlaku pukul 6pagi aku kat luar umah. So the team members were cheep himself, azwan, md nuh, uncle ayob (azwan's dad) and alin (azwan's sis).

Dah siap pinkan number kat baju sumer, trus masuk tent ikot turn runner. kalo A means first runner, kalo B second runner and so on. Lepas dengar briefing kitowang pon melepak lah sambil Cheep warming up.

The marathon started at 8am. Haiyoo dahler nantok tada plak orang jual coffee kat stu. Tunggu lah sampai matahari pon naik. Banyak plak nampak muka familiar time tuh. And most of them i know mmg kaki marathon sbb slalu nengok their photos kat facebook. Tapik x sempat nak tegur except susu. Lepas balik tuh baru kecoh2 kat status & comment photos kat FB hahaha.

Then all the runners dah kumpul kat starting line. The Youth & Sports Minister launched the event.

And the minister joined the run as well.

Medical tent to attend runners yang tegolek, tercramp, tersemput dan yang sewaktuh dengannyer.

There was Emma to keep me accompany. Kalo tak mmg aku main game kat iPod sampai habes battery. Around 9am camtuh azwan and cheep returned from their checkpoint to our lepak port. Sambil dorang breakfast, we started to check out runners yang dah sampai finishing line.

Macam2 gaya larian. Kalo aku yang masuk mmg takkan nampak aku lari lah...sure jalan je. But i doubt i will join any marathon hehe. If walking marathon count me in :)

Tunggu punyer tunggu while cheering for other team, baru lah muncul Alin. Go! go!

Hired pasukan sorak untuk meriahkan suasana hehe.

When the last runner reached the finishing line and baru lah the completed team pegi claim gifts. Yang paling bes dapat medal, besides that dapat certificate, koyok salon pas and balm.

Maka mula lah aksi gambar riak dengan medal hahaha!

Oh luper plak nak tulis tadik nama team dorang. Ini lah team 'Decepticon'.

And this is susu's team. There's her sister, bro in law and her friends.

So overall i enjoyed taking photos of the event even though i didn't run. Besides the weather was gentle that morning. Once in a while amik fresh air pagi2 is good wpon muka selebet nantok di khalayak ramai. Anyone knows about walking marathon lemme know yea, i'm interested to join ;)
