Play Tourist @ KL is Fun - Part 1
It all started with a plan to hang out. Since zafeer's appointment with paed got cancelled, i decided to proceed with the cuti. So after a not-so-lengthy discussion, K.Fara, D and myself planned to buat something different. Instead of hitting the malls, we wanted to jalan2 like a tourist, no shopping (tapik ada yang membeli jugak, cough), take lots of photos, cafe hopping and eat! So we chose PS street area. I love all the photos we took! Bepeloh2 pon takpelah because it's totally worth it. But biasalah biler dah peram gambar mula lah forgot some of the details and kurang the excitement nak berciter. So expect an entries yang banyak gambar than cerita. First stop was breakfast at Ali, Muthu, Ah Hock Kopitiam. We parked kat the nearest open car park area polis stesen at Jln H.S Lee.
I find the branding of this kopitiam sangat kiut and very malaysian. The character design of 3 races pakai gambar roti jer hahaha. We had breakfast i.e nasi lemak, half boiled egg, roti bakar etc. Had to check the map again and again to get our bearings right! Buatnyer kene jalan lebey 10km from each place that we wanted to go tak ker pengsan.
Enjoying our breakfast and morning cuppa.
Fresh, kenyang and ready to start our little adventure!
Building and shops yang still maintain classic look.
Singgah first kedai yang full of birthday party supplies. Balloons, stickers, ribbons, boxes, confetti you name it. Blom pape lagik kitowang dah teruja nak beli itu ini hahaha. But sebaik kat kedai nih jer lah. Tuh pon sbb pikiaq tanak carry too much weight we end up beli stickers jer.
A cafe with cool staircase.
Depan entrance Petaling Street. First time masuk from this entrance. Usually from the other side.
[Left] Simpang kat PS Street. I wonder which route yang hala ke pasar karat. Tak jadik pegi situ because it only open time weekend. [Right] Chestnut bakaq
Sementara tunggu D withdraw duit. We didn't stay lama kat PS Street because takde mende nak dicarik.
Plus....not much changes since i last went here.
Bright colors building
Before we reached our 2nd cafe hopping, we singgah few kedai kain. Also terjumpe kedai yang shara recommended...isetan. Found some really nice cotton fabrics here.
Stacks of fabrics from monochrome to colorful.
Sambung lagik walking ikot google maps. Lalu area sinarkota/mydin nih nampak lain laa sket. Ada covered area for bus.
Finally we arrived at LOKL. A bit unfortunate that we arrived during peak hour - lunch time. It was full house. But we managed to squeezed in at courtyard area. No air-cond though :(
Love love all the art prints on the wall.
We were really thirsty! Baru jalan sket hahaha. We ordered iced latte and straight to dessert. Still kenyang tapik nak jugak bite something.
The cafe is attached to a boutique backpackers hostel called BackHome. Rupanya besar jugak the hostel because they took over six shophouses and restored it from colonial into contemporary style.
While cooling down dengan mengharapkan sebijik kipas stand, we doodled. And wefie.
We continued walking to our next checkpoint and took photos along the way. Saw this lovely colonial style building called reggae mansi*n. Apparently this place is a backpacker and party hostel so no peeps more than 60yo is allowed. Interesting! Hehe.
We walked further and came across this cafe called Meggoo Deli. Looked full house from the outside musbi sedap kot. Besides it's lunch time so mmg ramai lah. But we didn't stop here just busybody curious.
Found random graffiti with patriotic theme.
Enjoying the photos? Heheh....to be continued in a different entry!
