Beraya at Aloft, Sentral

This will be the last entry related to raya and food...confirmed! Syawal dah lebey sebulan abes kannn...tsk tsk! Sebabnyer initially the company cancelled the annual raya open house which we usually invited the banks and clients. But to pay respect of the recent tragedies, the open house was cancelled. Almost last minute, the company decided to buat jugak raya dinner for staff only, which i think was very thoughtful.

The dinner was at Aloft, Sentral (my second time here). Buffet style. Some food was OK but i heard ramai cakap options tak cukup banyak. Since i'm trying to control food intake so I'm not complaining.

 

 

The grand ballroom. Tataulah konsep aper nie...some artsy futuristic kot. And then there was this wizard ball which can easily tecabut and tegolek because bendalah nie super ringan jer.

  

I won a lucky draw too! Alhamdulillah :) some cash and RM100 starbucks card yo! I spent it the next day blanja kengkawan minom coffee. That's the MD lookin' good with his baju melayu ;)

 

BSN Open House

The open house was held at KL Convec Centre. Meriah siap decor and performance. Cuma this year they covered all the wall with black drapes. Perhaps to respect MH17 tragedy. Ramai as expected and kitowang makan berdiri jer kat some of the small stand table. Tak kesah janji makan sedap hehe.

Food was great! Errr 2 gambar nih tak justify.

 

Classic kampung style decor. Ada macam2 props, vespa lah, basikal lah, kuali dodol etc.

Cam last year found out that Mas PNB pon datang gak BSN open house. So taun nie berjanji ngan dia nak jumpe kat situ hehe.

 

Sesama kengkawan kejer yang datang sama.

Local Fruits Buffet

Had an awesome time makan durian sampai lebam the other day. The company made an arrangement with FAMA for this event. Disebabkan bau buah durian yang semerbak and space location yang limited, the fruit buffet was done at block paling blakang, tutup one side of the road, pasang khemah, kosi and meja.

Ada manggis, langsat, rambutan and the king of fruits, durian of course.

Cendol and rojak also ada. Part of the package i heard. 

The long table where every one is enjoying the fruits. Best weh...meriah giler!

Biler dah abes sebijik or nak rasa yang lain cakap jer ngan bro nie. Dia tolong bukak kan.

Towards the end tuh, we were allowed to tapau the fruits except durian. Rasa cam kat pasar malam jer sumer pegang plastic bag. Ada yang pegang kotak kaut lah baper banyak nak....sampai abes stock. Rojak cepat gak abes, cendol lak terlebih2. Like for me, since dah lama tak makan durian and manggis so i really lepas gian makan banyak giler. Pueh :D

Merdeka and Long Weekend

Selamat Hari Merdeka every one! Alhamdulillah we get to celebrated our 57th years of independence. Here are photos of Qeeb smiling, waving and marching with his own colored flag.

 

How we spent time on Merdeka day? We took Qeeb for his first train ride. Parked the car kat Amcorp Mall and naik tren to KLCC from there.

 

We had lunch kat food court. I tried quesadillas from Popilla, Jeeb tried burger from Fuel Shack (had to queue for 30mins!) and Qeeb makan nasik goreng. [Below] Fountain view from Kinokuniya.

By the time we want to go back, Qeeb dah tired and sleepy so berdukung lah kejap. The LRT crowd was ok but ada jugak ignorant yang buat derk tak bagi seats. Qeeb plak tak jadik tido biler dapat tgk view from the back of the train. When we reached Taman Jaya station, singgah A&W tingin nak minom rootbeer float and waffle. Tapik queue mak aih panjang sampai dah kluar pintu. So amik keta trus and tak sampai 5 minit Qeeb dah tertidoq. We stopped by A&W Batu 3 instead and dapat lah layan jap rootbeer float dalam keta while Qeeb asleep. Nekmat betoi minom air tuh when you are sooo thirsty!

Lunch at Upstairs Cafe, Subang Jaya

Had a quiet lunch at Upstairs Cafe the other day. Heard the ambience, food and dessert were good.

I had seafood aglio olio. It was light and sedap. Qeeb pon layan makan so iols rasa tak cukup haha.

Jee had meatloaf. Love the sauce.and the bread.

Both of us had Cappuccino. The coffee was good. Qeeb enjoyed his iced peach tea.

The desserts fuhhh takleh tahan! Pitam makan banyak sangat....betambah2 calories. Qeeb asked for a macaron. Sebijik RM5, haish...tgk cute jer insisted nak makan yang tuh but after one bite dah takmo dah. I didn't like it. So end up jeeb yang tolong abeskan. Anyways, read few blog entries that the owner is a Malay. Thumbs up!

 

Beraya at Cheras & Office

Gambar raya haritu where my sis buat family get together at her house Cheras. Invited our aunts, uncles, cousins and family's friends.

Food!!! Everything were prepared and cooked by my sis and her boys. My fav were rendang and sambal udang.

Borak2 and catching up with everyone. I managed to kluar jap gi beraya rumah Juju yang 1 block away jer. She was still in confinement at that time so kira lawat baby skali. Abg Ayie's relatives pon dah start datang so some of us beransur balik. Thank you for the awesome food, Chef Nana and thanks everyone for coming (Karen was here too, but she and Adly were the photographers hehe)

Next makan2 session was at office organized by LVP Dept. My fav were laksa terengganu and nasi dagang.

Ramai yang suker steamboat punyer tomyam and kuah kicap tuh. Other menus were sate, fruits, sago melaka, air bandung, teh tarik etc. Pueh makan.

Photo props pon ada! Cantek and kemas jer dia punyer finishing. Eheh...can't help amik gambar lelebey.

 

Raya is sooo fun with lots of gatherings and food!
